Three-phase MQT syllabus based on the B-1 Mission Qualification Training Handbook, Dyess AFB (9th Bomb Squadron). BMC Training → Phase 1 → Phase 2 → Phase 3 → CMR. Grade 3 standard throughout.

LAO brief — local training area, restricted airspace, VFR reporting points around KDYS.
Normal departure KDYS, climb to training area.
Basic airwork: climbs, descents, level turns, unusual attitudes.
Local area tour — key landmarks and waypoints identified.
VFR return and landing — IP demonstrates pattern if required.

Instrument departure from KDYS — student flies the departure procedure.
FMS COMM and NAV setup — frequencies, nav modes, approach loading.
ILS approach: full setup, APR mode sequence, DH procedure, go-around.
RNAV approach: GPS mode, NAV HOLD, V/S descent, MDA level-off.
2–3 closed traffic patterns including one go-around.
Full-stop landing to grade 3 standard.

IFR departure, enroute navigation to AR track.
Tanker rejoin — point-parallel or enroute as briefed.
Precontact, contact, simulated onload, and breakaway.
Transition to low-level: entry point, route check, abort criteria review.
Low-level route segment at 500–1,000 ft AGL.
Night transition: lighting config, night IFR recovery and landing.

IP inbound — student controls TOT to within ±30 seconds.
